12. Mar 2015 - The HyCassette-Geko®, with radial-tangential configuration of the air outlet nozzles (SWIRL®-outlet), is a ceiling fan coil unit that DencoHappel® has developed for hygienic operations and for maximum comfort.
A number of factors contribute to the convenience and comfort of this product. EC motors allow regulation of the fan speed in accordance with demand – which saves power and minimizes operating noise emission. The output air flows in a swirl pattern out of the unit through the patented, round SWIRL®-outlet, with outstanding air distribution throughout the room. In addition, the DencoHappel® MATRIX control system regulates the air outlet cross-section and angular setting in accordance with load conditions and operating mode (cooling or heating). In cooling mode and at low fan speed, for example, the DencoHappel® MATRIX sets a smaller outlet cross section and a very flat angle, in order that the air propagates throughout the room along the ceiling (the Coandă effect). The result: the cool air does not fall in a narrow column, but slowly and uniformly over a large area toward the floor – which eliminates drafts. To prevent the temperature of the outlet air flow from appreciably differing from the surrounding room temperature, room air is drawn into the unit adjacent to the outlet nozzles and is mixed according to the induction principle with air cooled by the fan coil unit. This solution supports minimal-draft distribution of air throughout the room, especially under conditions of high cooling output. Since these features in any event prevent hot or cold spots in corners of the room – as well as uncomfortable temperature stratification and high air speeds in areas occupied by persons – users experience climate control with a ceiling unit and SWIRL®-outlets to be especially pleasant.
The use of high-quality closed-pore materials means that the HyCassette-Geko® with SWIRL®-outlet also conforms to strict hygiene requirements. Rounded geometry as well as generous radii and concave fillets prevent adherence of dirt and debris and simplify cleaning of the unit. Condensate is effectively drained through a drip tray with continuous slope. All relevant interior components are made of synthetic materials resistant to disinfectants, and are microbiologically non-metabolizable. With such features, the HyCassette-Geko® with SWIRL®-outlet satisfies the requirements of VDI 6022 and is accordingly effectively suited not only for climate control in offices and shops, but also in physicians’ treatment rooms, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities with strict requirements for climate comfort and hygiene. The HyCassette-Geko® with SWIRL®-outlet is available in a range of models with cooling duty up to 4.5 kW and heating duty up to 8.6 kW.
